Nice to see a site about Lorenzini. I'm married to
one of them: Omero Lorenzini. So my name has become Diane Lorenzini. His
father came to Holland in 1954 and married a women from Rotterdam.
Together they got three children, Gloria, Rosella and, of course, my
husband! Gloria has two daughters: Gianni and Lisa. Rosella has two sons
and a daughter: Danny, Jordy and Demi.
Originally the family is from Nicola, a small
village on a mountain nearby Pisa (Toscana) .The place there is really
crowded with members of the Lorenzini clan. The grandparents of my
husband were named Avellino and Chloride Lorenzini. His uncle Attilio
still lives in Italy, together with his son Mario, daughter in law Ezia
and his grandchild Giulia.
Did you know that the author of "Pinoccio"
was called Carlo Lorenzini (a famous member of the Lorenzini-clan) ?
Furthermore, the little spot on the nose of a shark (it's sixth sense)
are called the 'ampuls' of Lorenzini.
My name is Lino Lorenzini, I'm also a member of the Lorenzini family.
Holland is the country we live in My father was born in Italy in 1912 in a place called
"Cortina d'Ampezzo" nearby the place "Anduins". My father moved to
Holland in 1926 to his uncle in Breda. Later he moved to "Vlaardingen" a place
15 km from Rotterdam.
All I know of my father's family is that a sister and brother lives in Argentinie and
Mexico. (Lina and Lino) A few month ago I found out that in Holland there are 8 peoples
(family's) with the name of Lorenzini. I called an Lorenzini in "Eindhoven" and
I asked where his family comes from. His grandfather comes from the place 'Ampezzo' . All
I know of the place Cortina d'Ampezzo is that this place actually are 2 smaller places
Cortina and Ampezzo. So this family in Eindhoven really can be family of me. So far the
Lorenzini story from Holland.
Greatings to all Lorenzini members in America
